TCP staff members, Zach Batson and Sarah Champ, joined one of our participants and his family in attending the Fernbank Museum of Natural History’s annual volunteer award ceremony on April 15th. The brunch and ceremony celebrated the museum’s twenty fifth year anniversary, recognizing volunteers who had made outstanding contributions to the organization for over past two decades.
Threshold Community Program has been partnered with Fernbank for three years, first participating in their FUN high school internship program and recently as a regular internship site available program wide. Our participants gain valuable experience in both job skill training and in mentoring and teaching others at the Fernbank Museum of Natural History. The participant featured here received a commemoratory volunteer pin and gift bag in appreciation for the volunteer hours he has given to the museum.
